Potato Soup

6 cups - water

7 tsp. - chicken bouillon granules

2 packages - cream cheese

1 lb. - ground beef

1/2 cup - onion

1 tsp. - dill weed

1 tsp. - garlic powder

2 lbs. - cubed potatoes


Brown the chuck and onion. Drain grease. Set aside. In a soup pot, dissolve the chicken granules into the water. Add the cream cheese in little squares and heat until melted. Add all the remaining ingredients (including the meat/onions) and continue cooking uncovered for about another 20 minutes.  *** This recipe freezes well. ***

Good Substitutes:

Cubed ham, ground sausage, or Italian sausage instead of hamburger. 

Leeks instead of onions
